Clearmont and Arvada Precincts Report Good Numbers

November 9, 2022

Both the 9-1 Clearmont precinct in Arvada and 10-1, Clearmont precinct, reported good numbers of voters coming by to cast their votes in the mid-term election.

The Clearmont Town Hall was the polling place in Clearmont, and according to election judge Anna Switzer, by 3 p.m. the precinct had 74 voters out of the 180 registered to vote in the Clearmont area.

Due to the fact it is a mid-term election, the numbers were down somewhat from the 2020 election, when 100 people had voted during the same time frame. The election judges in Clearmont were Anna Switzer, Wendy Switzer and Crystal Medifee.

In Arvada, they had 26 voters by 2 p.m. which election judge Cretica Overman said was two-thirds of the people registered in that area.   “We have several people coming in after five,” She added.

The Arvada election judges, were Meshelle Cooper, Cindy Miller and Creticia Overman.

Jesse Ludikhuize, Coordinator with Sheridan County Emergency Management, dropped by to see if there was anything in either precinct that would require their assistance.

In the Ranchester and Dayton Mayoral races, in the unofficial vote tally from the Sheridan County Elections office, Clifford Reed is Mayor of Dayton, and Peter Clark was elected mayor of Ranchester.
