A Look Back in Time: April 19, 1917
The 142nd anniversary of Lexington and Concord, the opening battle of the revolutionary war, was celebrated in Sheridan this afternoon with the blowing of whistles and ringing of bells. Patriotic exercises were held in the schools. The demonstration started at 2 o’clock and lasted five minutes.
There will be four polling places for the special elections to be held Tuesday. Voters will cast ballots on the bond proposition for the cemetery and to vote on the proposed change in the form of Sheridan’s city government.
Miss Nell Warriner returned to her home at Arvada today after spending a week in Sheridan as the guest of her aunt, Mrs. W.A. Roberts.
