A Look Back in Time: Feb. 5, 1916

W.A. Jones has been awarded the contract for construction of a new office building for the Sheridan Iron Works. The building will be 25 by 32 feet, constructed of brick and modern in all its appointments. C.A. Randall drew up the plans, which include a handsome fireplace and a fireproof vault.

J.G. McIlvain of the O-Four-Bar ranch is in Sheridan today. Also in the city are Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Flanagan of the F.F. Ranch.

A water main broke on West Works street yesterday, adding to the water crisis. Water supply had to be shut off to practically all the people living west of Linden avenue. The break occurred two blocks west of Big Goose Creek, and a portion of Badger street and Loucks were flooded.
