Mayor Camplin introduced an ordinance at the city council meeting this morning that would prohibit businesses from being open on Sundays. Violation of the ordinance would carry a fine of up to $100 or imprisonment in the city jail of up to three months.

Mrs. C.H. Parmalee of College avenue entertained several of her women friends at a Hoover luncheon yesterday afternoon. Knitting for the Red Cross occupied the ladies during the afternoon. No meat was served, and scarcely any sugar or wheat were employed in preparation of the meal, which was most delectable to behold and taste.

Mrs. P.M. Fisher of Buffalo is spending a few days in Sheridan.
