The Powder Horn offers 27 holes of championship golf with three different courses:

You’ll find something different on each course including the Little Goose Creek that runs through the Stag course. The images of the mountains, streams, and wildlife are something unlike anywhere else in the world. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind golfing experience to come to Sheridan and play golf.

The Powder Horn has been included in the annual “Best of” lists in both Golf Week and Golf Digest magazines. Golfers are beginning to recognize the great views and challenges golfing the American West has to offer.

The Championship tees offer challenges for the more experienced golfer with long par fives, challenging par fours, and unique par threes. The 8th hole at the Mountain course will challenge your nerves. Measuring at over 200 yards with an approach almost entirely over water, par is a great score on this hole and will get into your head if you let it.

The weather is great in the summertime with temperatures typically in the 70s throughout the summer months. Spring and Fall are also great times to visit Sheridan. You’ll be able to golf in some comfortable weather while enjoying the scenery as the seasons change.

A loop around The Powder Horn will run you about $120 for 18-holes while walking. There are some great opportunities to take advantage of twilight and seasonal rates, however. If you’re looking for your next premier golfing destination look no further than The Powder Horn in Sheridan.

Kendrick Golf Course

Also available in the Sheridan area is the locally owned Kendrick Golf Course. This city course offers some unique challenges for golfers of all ability levels while offering the great views and scenery available everywhere in Sheridan.

The price is $40 with a cart and you can enjoy 18 holes of great golf right in the heart of the Big Horn Mountains. Kendrick Golf Course is known as a great value for the price. You’ll experience challenging tee shots, approach shots, and short game shots. You’ll need to make sure you’re focused over the ball. There is the added difficulty of focusing when there is so much beauty to be seen everywhere around you.

Kendrick Golf Course measures just under 7,000 yards. It’s been ranked one of the best courses in Wyoming. The course is a par 72 and will challenge you while still making you smile as you make your way around the layout.

There is even a great opportunity to bring the entire family out to the course. Kendrick offers a great program kids under 17 years old can golf after 5:00 p.m. for $5 walking. This is a great chance to experience all that Sheridan has to offer while really spending some quality time with your family.

Sheridan Wyoming offers some of the best and most unique golf in the world. You’ll experience challenging and enjoyable courses while playing in the great American West.
